It was love at first sight! From the moment I entered the South Union Lobby until I finally exited the Patton Street Lobby, all I could think was, “My goodness, what an elegant, classy, historic, modern, unique place. I want to stay here for a week or more.”
The Bee, Danville’s first boutique hotel, is now taking reservations for stays. The building on Patton Street that once served as the offices for a newspaper has now transformed into a modern hotel that features 47 rooms, a fitness center, access to a park and more.

Danville’s newest hotel, The Bee, is abuzz this week with first guests and final construction. Also called “The Honey Bee,” it's a nod to the building being the former site the Danville Register and The Bee newspapers, which were formerly separate papers.
